A Bit About Me
My name is Anne-Laure Kenny, I am from Brittany and have lived in England since 1999. Having taught French to all ages for nearly 20 years, I have recently retrained as a translator with the Open University. Each translation is unique and requires cultural insight and attention to detail. Being French is not enough, a passion for words and an extensive experience with languages are what sets a good translator apart. My areas of expertise are subtitling, transcreation and medical translation.
What We Provide
Subtitling brings many challenges that need to be overcome in order for your film to reach its audience. Time and space constraints make this field highly technical, as well as requiring creative solutions.
Transcreation is the art of adapting your brand and its message to a specific market. It is a very creative process that requires an in-depth knowledge of the targeted culture as well as a "think outside the box" approach.
Medical translation needs to be of the highest accuracy as medical terms and abbreviation vary from country to country. To keep this knowledge updated, I take part in networking opportunities and training provided by the ITI medical and pharmaceutical network.
